Helping Hands & Caring Hearts
A Caring Christian Community
In Gal. 6:9-10, the Scripture says: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
The ministry of Helping Hands and Caring Hearts seeks to put into practice this injunction that believers are given in the Word of God. We offer short term assistance in times of loss, medical crisis, illness, hospitalization and new baby arrivals for our Church family. We are also an outreach to our community in times of crisis, tragedy and serious illness. Our mission is to express God’s love and care for His church and for its neighboring community.
By God’s grace, believers have been blessed with spiritual gifts, talents, knowledge and the love of Jesus Christ shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. As such, the Church is called to support and encourage one another in times of need, and to utilize our God given gifts, as well as to seek to minister to a world that so desperately needs to hear the message of God’s saving grace. We seek to do this not only in the proclamation of the gospel, but also in doing good works which will bring great praise and glory to God on the final Day.
“Then the King will say to those on his right,
'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance,
the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,
I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me,
I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you,
or thirsty and give you something to drink?
When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?
When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
The King will reply,
'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”
